What Is the Key Factor to Drop Weight Quickly?

At the moment, there are millions of people around the world that are considered not only overweight to some degree but many of them are morbidly (characteristic of disease, pertaining to diseased parts, gruesome) obese.  In now medical terms, that means in danger of dying prematurely.

Millions Would Like to Drop Weight Quickly

People that find themselves in this situation not only want to get rid of extra pounds but they normally want to drop weight quickly.  The question is what should you do to lose weight the fastest.

Many studies over the last few years have shown that some type of weight loss surgery is one of the fastest ways to lose weight fast.  When it comes to consuming less calories versus exercise, it was pretty much determined that reducing calories was more important than exercise.

In a study released by the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology, it showed that two groups of people where one group reduced calories by 25% while the other reduced calories by 12.5% and burned 12.5% more calories through exercise.  At the end of the six month study, both groups had lost an equal amount of weight.

This does not mean that you should not exercise because physical activity is very important to your overall health.  What it does suggest that if you had to pick one key factor to ensure weight loss, it would be a reduction in calories eaten.

This does not necessarily translate into the best way to drop weight quickly but it does look like one of the proven ways to success.  What is considered quick is different from person to person.
